French 19thC Salvaged Shabby balistrail original paint repurposed candle stand

This is a French 19th century salvaged shabby balistrail (stair bannister). It is a beautiful shabby old piece of architectural salvage which we have repurposed into a candle display stand.

I have five of these in various sizes. They all are very old very shabby they have knocks, peeling paint, all sorts of things, but this adds to their unique charm and originality.

I understand some people will get it and some people won’t, but I personally I think saving a little bit of history and repurposing it into a candle holder just looks great. It’s got character and soul.

This particular one measures 80 cm tall by 27cm wide base.
